Endless Dismal Moan is the brainchild of Japanese musician Chaos 9(R.I.P). Embracing the digital production and aesthetics of his era as well as incorporating the suffocating sensation of Japanese horror. Endless Dismal Moan provides a completely twisted take on the very idea of raw black metal that remains unsurpassed to this very day.

We have been given permission by a live band member and close associate of Chaos 9(R.I.P) to reissue this full length.

Ruin represents the logical continuation of Chaos9’s descent into sonic torment, yet it carries a distinct character that sets it apart from his earlier work. While retaining the suffocating industrialized black metal foundation that defined Lord of Nightmare, this album introduces a more structured and at times gothic sensibility, layering the chaos with a different shade of despair. The result is not a retreat from extremity, but rather a shift in atmosphere, less the pure nightmare vortex of its predecessor, and more the sound of a decayed metropolis collapsing under its own weight. In Ruin, Chaos9 channels the desolation of urban existence into a soundscape that is both relentlessly oppressive and unnervingly mournful. It is a work that underscores Endless Dismal Moan’s unique voice in underground music, a singular fusion of black metal, industrial cruelty, and gothic ruin that still feels unlike anything else in extreme metal.
