Endless Dismal Moan is the brainchild of Japanese musician Chaos 9(R.I.P). Embracing the digital production and aesthetics of his era as well as incorporating the suffocating sensation of Japanese horror. Endless Dismal Moan provides a completely twisted take on the very idea of raw black metal that remains unsurpassed to this very day.

We have been given permission by a live band member and close associate of Chaos 9(R.I.P) to reissue this full length.

Curse of Underground marks a singular moment in the Endless Dismal Moan catalogue. The suffocating density that defined the project has not been abandoned so much as dissolved, faded into a vast post-industrial emptiness where black metal exists only as a distant residue. The insane, painful shrieking that tore through earlier records has largely receded, and the manic pounding of the drums has slowed to something closer to a heartbeat, faint, irregular, barely there. What Chaos 9 constructs here is sparse and deeply ambient, the sound of structures so consumed by decay that the line between the man-made and the geological no longer holds. Concrete returning to earth. Tunnels that lead nowhere. A darkness that carries no memory of the city above it, only its own silence spreading outward without end. Curse of Underground was released posthumously.
